Classmate Profile:
Carole (Cason) Thomas

I am constantly amazed at the extraordinary blessings that have been poured over my very ordinary life. It did not unfold the way I had planned, but instead, turned out better than I could have imagined back in high school.

I have spent the last 30 years committed to Christ, my family, and enjoying a career in financial services. I found my niche early and have been fulfilled by a balance of all three. I was fortunate enough to take a couple shorts breaks from work over the years. As a Vice President and Senior Product Manager for a national bank, my day job for the last ten years has been focused on integrating products and services associated with mergers and acquisitions.

I have an amazing man to share life with and it has been a good one. Dave and I have been married for 25 years and it just keeps getting better over time. We still reside in So Cal and spend a lot of time in San Diego or traveling to visit our grown children. Our kids have been our passion and they have taught us patience, courage and how to unconditionally love. They are well, happy, embracing life and following their dreams.

Matt is 23 and is serving in the US ARMY, currently assigned to a Psychological Operations Unit based out of Ft. Bragg, NC. We could not be prouder of his commitment to our country.

I am a warrior Mom and stand in support of the men and women that are willing to risk their lives for ours. Politics aside - be proud of your America and the warriors that defend it. They are your friends… your brothers and sisters… your fathers and mothers… our sons and daughters. God bless them and keep them safe in His care.

Michelle is 22, married Rob last summer and graduated last month from TCU with a degree in Journalism/Social Work. They just bought their first home in Dallas. She has a heart for working with orphans and writing to promote social justice. Rob is in Grad school working on his Clinical Psychology PhD.

Caring for my parents as they passed from this life deepened my reliance on Christ for my every breath. Without Him, there is no hope. In Him reside mercy, grace, peace and the strength to walk on. Although I am unable to attend the reunion, I ask Him to guide each of our lives, our jobs, our loves. I ask that He carry us through our trials and then gently set us down with enough strength to walk by His side. My faith in God assures me that He will. God bless.
