Classmate Profile:
Karen (Orvik) Noland

After high school, I worked for the Globe Theatre as a wardrobe mistress while attending Southwestern College. It was during my brief time at Southwestern that I met my husband, Ted Noland. We eloped in September of 1979 and haven't looked back since.

After marrying, we moved to the San Francisco Bay area, where I attended Computer Learning Center. I went to work in the computer industry and am still working as a technical trainer today.

We traveled extensively before finally settling down in Oklahoma where we now own and operate a small horse ranch, the Rockin' N, where we breed and show foundation quarter horses.

We were blessed with our first son, Phillip Christian (12), after 15 years of marriage, and four years later, our second son, Ian Richard (8). My husband, Ted, not only runs the ranch full-time, but is also the interim pastor for the First Baptist, Cedar Vale, KS (it's a commute, but we are very bless in this), and a full-time dad. I work in Tulsa for an Oil and Gas firm, and, I am also the financial secretary for a new church work started in March 2003. I have one published novel with my second, "Beyond the Comanche Sun," scheduled for release in late 2007.

Life is good!

My family and I reside in Beggs, OK. (Profile written September 2003. Updated January 2006)
